I don't "grapple" with them, I've deleted some of your uploads that were against our rules or were low quality. And I don't want to delete your account (I have no permission to do it anyway).
Still I think it's not right to put your watermark (and delete original author's) on photographs that you edited on PS because it's just like theft and it's disrespectful.

While I might agree with you on parts of it - I removed the watermark on one or two, because after I edited them with PS, it wasn't readable anymore. One might say now that I shouldn't edit them at all, but if you stick to that, you had to remove 30-40% of all the images on this site, as especially fan art always means, that an original image has been altered. At least on a lot of them.
And talking about theft and disrespect - I would say 50% of all the images on Wallhaven are taken from 500px or from porn sites which have a paywall. And on most of them, there is not even a source link added to them, even people download it directly from the source. So much for the respect for photographers and models/ artists. I do understand, what you are talking about, but that is a thin line and I have the feeling that you have some double standards here. I don't judge you, but you can't ignore copyright infractions on the one hand and tell me that I don't have respect and do steal from others. I hope you can see that this is somewhat strange.
Furthermore you allow users on you site to cut off watermarks and such, by cropping and scaling images. Yes, that is for personal use only, but there's no way you can make sure, that those people won't upload those images somewhere else. And I didn't even started with aggregator sites, which mass download images from your site and put them on their site. Do you think that is in the sense of the copyright holder?
Don't get me wrong here - You have every right to have your rules on your own site. I do respect that. I am sorry if I violated those rules by uploaded those images on here. As I said, it will not happen again. I won't upload anything again. And I am not mad or anything. As I said - It is your house, your rules. :)
Just one last thing - I added my name (watermark) to the images, not because I claim ownership on them, but because I put work into it and don't want others to claim that they did it. I can see that it is a grey area, but that is something I can live with.
Anyways - Have a nice weekend and thanks for the clarifications. :)

I know what do you mean... Issues with copyright are always here. If you spot some copyright violating on this site then don't hesitate to report it as a broken rule.
Why you put your watermark into photos that are not taken by you?
