Possible Open Source?

First off, let me say great work and love the site! I was curious if there was any intention or thought to maybe open source the site, or at least portions of it? I ask because I think that it could be the good base work for an actual decent web-based photo management system. Not necessarily for editing photos, but storing, managing, and tagging a personal photo library. There are a couple of open source projects but none of them really handle tagging and browsing like this site.
