Wallhavens "minor" issue.

I like wallhaven just as much as the next guy.

However it has come to my attention that a lot of posts in the anime category are depicting child pornography, i find this disgusting and because of this i am questioning how the anime or any of the NSFW sections are regulated? It's against Wallhaven's TOS to post any of these contents, yet they're here and they are not removed.

I've made some recent reports, two of the images i reported were removed due to this depiction.

How can wallhaven combat this issue?

Could a image recognition API help with the categorisation of images? Ofcourse it would, but there would be additional costs that might not be feasible for developers.

Quarantine NSFW posts and make all of them need to be approved before reaching public?

This is a disgusting issue, that needs to stop for the sake of this site continuing to operate.

NSFW posts can only be seen by logged in users. Your bias against something doesn't mean that it's not a wallpaper that someone else would want, if it's something someone would want and doesn't break any rules I see no reason for it to be removed. Why not turn off nsfw/sketchy and anime in your browsing settings? I doubt much "child pornography" is actually breaking any rules here, especially when it boils down to just being a drawing.

Maybe he likes NSFW anime, but does not like having these NSFW "drawings" of children pop up. Just a thought.

I don't know what's the official stance on this. I'm not particularly interested in those, though I don't mind them Every country is different, but in Japan, the introduction of hentaï actually decreased the number of sexual crimes of all types. (it's a statistic) hence why I don't mind. I believe depicted sexual acts is off limits in general aren't they? even in anime & unlike wallbase ....

Also most anime drawings make characters look very young to begin with, since everything is exaggerated.

EDIT: though since there is no examples, it's a bit difficult to know what exactly you're talking about. :) I mean, I don't mind and I understand why you'd not post pictures of those to begin with, but a picture is worth a thousand words ^^
