I don't remember exactly whether this feature is planned or not, I think Purity and Category should be unchecked by default when uploading, so we could see less wallpapers with wrong properties in future. Right?

Yes, profile backgrounds have file size limits. And i agree with the purity and category suggestion.

The limit seems to be at 2MB. And i assume it's just something they did to save some bandwidth.
