Woah, it looks like the thumbnail is correct, but the image is up-side down

Sure enough, the image has an EXIF tag with Orientation set to Rotate 180. I wonder if when the thumbnail is/was generated, it un-does that on the fly? idk

if i'm not mistaken, generating thumbnails doesn't require applying all the exif parameters.
