New rules Related to this topic, it seems very good to me that they want to eradicate pornography a bit because they have shown a lot on the site. I agree with the limit of sets of 15 to only 5, which I do not agree with is that it seems very little the limit of images to upload 50 per day, there are many active users as in my case, that for almost 3 years I have devoted a lot to this site that I love and there are many users that I appreciate a lot and that upload very good images beyond the problems that I have had with some of them. But if it seems a bit unfair 50 images per day because if it affects me and others too, maybe not other users, but I would like you to meditate a little more about increasing the quota 50 images per day.

50 Images per day is absolutely ok. The Mass uploading times are over. From now on every user has the same chances. It is just fair Play.

If we did increase the limit, what would be a better limit?

Keep in mind that our intention with this new limit is to help keep the latest feed diverse. We don't want to see page after page of similar content from one or two users. We want to make sure those who only upload a wallpaper here and there don't end up having their contributions lost after a huge dump from another user or two.

AksumkA I understand it very well I will not talk more about it, but if I would like to make a suggestion for maybe in the future to eradicate a little more the massive load of images there are too many duplicates of images many users raise or lower the resolution of the same image, I have seen in other pages of load where they only allow the image that that user charges, if another arrives and loads the same image is reported and is eliminated no matter the resolution that this loaded is left the first load as the only image, here we have crop and scale but it is not working at all because it is allowed to duplicate images hopefully in the not too distant future could implement this.

I think a limit of 50 uploads per day is perfectly reasonable - more sounds like a pretty overwhelming amount (in particular to potential subscribers, for instance).

Personally, I'd like the limit per gallery raised slightly - to 6-8, for instance, as some galleries are really great and allow to handpick a variety of great wallpapers from SFW or mildly Sketchy to very NSFW, depending on the preferences of various users (and I mean actual wallpaper-worthy pictures, not random HD porn). But I can definitely understand this rule, and I see this issue really bothered many people.

Maybe a timer who shows us when we can upload next Walls would be good. Or simple showing how much walls we already have uploaded in 24 hours.

What do you think about it ?

Personally I think that 5 per set and 50 per day is an ideal amout. I'm uplaoding for over 3 years now and I don't think I've ever reached 50 wallpaper in one day, that's a really big number. And since we all agree that quality should be always before quantity I don't think there's any reason to change that rule just after few days of implementation.

True. But for some members (i don't call names here...he he) this is the reason for a nervous breakdown. Especially when you are uploading 24 hours 6 days a week for years, this can cause a serious crisis..:-)

I just can't imagine that for example 100 users would upload a maximum reachable limit of wallpapers... 5.000 new walls per day! Limit of 50 is far far enough. I don't want to scroll for half an hour just to see new wallpapers daily. Quality matters, not quantity...everybody should agree with it :)

I agree with the 50 per day limit. I know I've asked for even lower than that before but I'm fine with 50. I'm gonna observe it for a bit and see if it makes much difference. I used to be a very open minded browser but I recently decided to exclude NSFW so I wouldn't spend over an hour going through Latest. I'm just glad we aren't gonna see any more of that shit like that guy who spammed every damn Playboy centerfold for the past century on here. That guy was doing God's work but holy fuck, this isn't the place for it.

It would be nice to have an upload counter somewhere, probably the upload page itself where you select your files. I'm assuming this resets on 00:00 UTC?

I agree with what Motta says, though, we still need to get a better handle on the whole duplicates issue. I know you guys have already set down rules to deal with them but I think some of us aren't completely satisfied with those decisions. I will continue to advocate keeping the highest quality resolution over oldest uploaded for most cases. I know there will always be instances where a little investigating is involved; whether or not there was cropping, editing, watermark removal, etc. It's all in the interest having the highest quality wallpapers around, right? And anyway, the cropping tool will improved eventually so we have better control over the cropping area. I hope.

Initially, 5 per set did seem a little low to me, but then 10 felt too high. I think we, as uploaders, just have to be more selective about what we upload and just provide a source link so they can discover the rest. Less work for us, right?

All in all, these rule changes are the best things to come out of this update, IMO. Oh, and emoji support. Yayyyyyy. 🙄🎉

The 5 images per set is a bumper for me as I create a lot collages for dual screen from 6 portraits. In the other hand if the limit was 6, someone else would ask to change it to 7 for any other reason, so whatever. All in all, it's far better than 15.

I believe more in quality instead of quantity when it comes down to upload to wallhaven. I would rather want one super mega beautiful wallpaper than 10 mediocre wallpapers and thats my input about the future content of wallhaven.

50 uploads a day is way enough.

Shall we report Porno Sets of the Past with more than 5 Pics per Set ? Or goes this too far ?

I think that would get pretty chaotic and I imagine a slight nightmare for the admins/moderators... And if I understand, the main issue was that huge sets like that spammed the Latest page, which should not happen anymore.

In my opinion if something is good enough quality, just let it be.

I actually got an idea which I think would be a great compromise, regarding what I had said - if nobody likes it, I swear I'll never mention it again, hahaha.

How about this: Maximum of 10 pictures per gallery (only 5 can be NSFW)

Will keep things as they are regarding people who just upload full porn sets, but will leave a bit more room for variety for people (like me) who try to pick some more varied wallpapers when there's a great set of 150 pictures, for instance.

i Say no limits keep the site great.

I recently joined the website, browsed for a while and then wanted to upload my wallpaper collection, but was unpleasantly surprised that there is an actual limit to how much I can upload daily, with the current limit it will take me days to upload everything.

Great website and excellent wallpapers, but I think the limit is set a bit too low, some people have a lot of wallpapers to share and waiting for days to upload them all is not fun. Nevertheless I really like the website and the quality of wallpapers, bonus points for allowing NSFW wallpapers and using tags. As for the rest of my wallpapers they will need to wait then.
