Decrease in diversity (I think)

Hello, First of all, let me tell you that I love your site, every day i check the wew wallpaper, but in recent months, I see a general decline in the diversity of images. I find that before, Wallbase offered more diversity, and wallhaven at the beginning also , now I found mostly girls, manga and video game screenshot. Where are the good photographers? I understand, and it's normal that the site must keep a real quality in the images provided, but still, this is not a reason to systematically remove all photos from an amateur. Before I happily found urbex, tiltshift, animals, macro, cityscape, portrait, planes, cars, train, boat ... It has become rare now and I find it's a shame. This is only my personal feeling of course, in any case, I wish once again to congratulate all those who participate in the life of this site for their permanent work. I dont think that they get "systematically removed". I would say the raeson could be that simply less of that kind of content gets uploaded. Dont now if its like that, but it would be the first thing id think of. Your explenation just sounds a bit too much like a conspiracy theory for me to be real.

i'm ok with you, it's sound like conspiracy, the "systematically removed" it's a bit too much. But in a recent upload the totatility of my pics (about 10) was removed for low quality. image of that kind:

Anyway, i not create this post for crying about my upload. Just talking about my feeling about diversity , and you'r answer about less of content is right but why?

montana29 Start with little stats just for fun: from 35 of your deleted uploads 2 were broken rule because of copyright and red carpet, 10 were merged as duplicates and 23 were low quality (like one above). NONE of upload is remowed without reason.

About diversity: we have uploaders who upload just ONE specific theme like girls, glitch art, cars, game walls etc. but I think we have plenty uploaders not specifized by any theme (like myself). And I think we have a pretty rule of max 5images/set which helped with diversity. For those who think it's not diverse enough we have filters and categories :)

No way, i think we can't be agree together. When i create this post i just want to say that i think (and i'm not alone) the diversty has decreased. In any case thank you for your time and your answers. Long Life for Wallhaven.

You can filter out people/anime with a press of the button. I am curious though why that image is considered low quality. I have seen much worse hanging about.

I would argue that there is only the illusion of a lack of diversity. But since there are literally automated spam bots uploading literal porn pics on the order of thousands a day as a marketing tool, it drowns out the good content if you just look at the "Recent" page.

If you look at the "Toplist" of what people actually enjoy and favorite, it's an eclectic and diverse selection.
