Wasn't me who merged it but the original resolution of the source was 1080x1080 square. So in either case it is "stretched." Without seeing an original source from where this "edit" truly comes from instead of the original it's hard to say which one would be the "correct" version so the mod who did it seemed to just merge to the higher resolution of the two.

In either case you can message the site admin (the purple dude in the staff page) for an appeal.
